The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Community Services Center of The Bronx, Incorporated, d/b/a Bronx LGBTQ Center (the "Center") is a New York State membership-based not-for-profit corporation with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status from the IRS. The Center is working to build a community services center for LTBTQ and supportive individuals and couples in The Bronx and surrounding areas (Manhattan above 96th Street and lower Westchester County).The Center will provide supportive, mental health, physical health, economic, social support, organizational, political advocacy, and case management services, either by itself or in cooperation and partnership with other non-profit, governmental, non-governmental, and community-based agencies, in addition to offering cultural, social, recreational, educational, public policy, economic development, political advocacy, and other related programs and services to meet the needs of the LGBTQ community in its service area.A volunteer-driven, grassroots organization, the Bronx LGBTQ Center is dedicated to serving the needs of the communities it serves. As the heart and soul of the LGBTQ movement, the Bronx LGBTQ Center will strive to reach all segments of the various and divergent communities comprising the LGBTQ (and supportive) community, and work toward creating positive social change through public educational programs and empowerment within the LGBTQ community.
