The Michaels' Family Initiative is an NGO providing services of health and education for the poor and needy people in Ghana and beyondHealth: We believe that every individual should lead a life of wellness. Unfortunately, the less privileged do not have access to good health or education on certain illness that can be prevented. We and our volunteers in partnerships with health centers and some government agencies are reaching out to many Ghanaians and beyond to help get solutions to their health problems, educate them on preventive measure and generally support them with issues of health Education:Our believe is that every child deserves to be educated regardless of not being able to afford it. A lot of the poor and the less privileged in our communities lack basic learning materials or conducive environment to help in their education.Our mission is make learning easy, conducive and welcoming by refurbishment of school either by repainting, redecorating, upgrading of libraries or reconstructing broken areas and supplying school material to these category of peopleEducation:The future goal of our organization is to be able to build libraries and fully furnished schools for if not all, for most of the less privileged and poor communities and to give full educational scholarships.Currently we refurbish schools by either repainting, redecorating, upgrading of libraries or reconstructing broken areas to make the school a very conducive place and attractive place to encourage children to learn. We also support by providing extra learning materials.Health:We hope to build community health centers and hospitals to expand our reach more and also care for sick children and people in general who cannot afford good health careCurrently we try to educate them on preventive measures and first aid and also support other lacking health centers in poor communities by supplying medicines and supporting financially for unpaid hospital bills
