The Startup Academy was founded in 2017 to bring hand-on entrepreneurial experiences to teenagers in the Utah Valley. We believe that all individuals have the capacity to create something that can benefit their community. Unfortunately, in our current education system, creativity is put in a strangle hold while teachers help students cram their heads full of meaningless information for standardized tests. The Startup Academy offers more to students and their families. The Academy helps students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, perform research, generate and validate ideas, receive a micro-loan, and work with mentors to get their small business off the ground.
