Civic & Social Organization - Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
Waste Hacks aims at reducing waste generation and spreading awareness about waste management and reusing techniques. Apart from interacting with people from all age groups, we also wish to collaborate with local teachers and school principals to design a curriculum for students based on sustainability and creation of waste to wealth. We plan to collaborate with local non-profit organizations to reach out in more areas and communicate with more people. The key initiatives will include converting waste to bio-based products, reusing and recycling plastic, techniques for purifying waste water, reusing old cloth materials, interacting with farmers to generate biofuel with lower cost, encouraging students to conduct practical activities at home to convert waste to wealth. Our agenda:1. To create a well researched module regarding waste management for all age groups. 2. To connect with school and students all across Odisha and presenting our module before them to spread awareness. 3. To conduct workshops to create value from waste, Bio-enzyme, Biogas and many more. 4. To connect with local school teachers and principals to design a curriculum for K-12 students. 5. To conduct webinars in collaboration with professionals, NGOs, NPOs and other organizations.
