Our laser functionalized surface technology (nanomachining) is integrated into an ultrafast femtosecond pulse laser station, the ThermOptical Cooling workstation, to increase surface areas and their effectiveness in emitting thermal radiation (i.e. emissivity), which significantly improves power and heat management. Our technology enhances the surface areas of materials & alloys such as copper, aluminum, & silicon carbide, of which then radiate heat by intensified IR radiation, thereby accelerating cooling in thermal management applications by factors up to 10 times or more.
