Thinking Autism is a UK-based charity aiming to improve quality of life for people with autism and their families by:*Bringing information and latest research on a wide range of biomedical, educational and therapeutic approaches to healthcare professionals, people with autism and their parents and carers through a variety of publications and events;*Sharing research, clinical outcomes, and parent/patient experiences of possible treatments for medical conditions that are correlated with and may underlie or exacerbate the symptoms that comprise autism;*Campaigning to ensure that appropriate and timely medical support is available to all people with autism, while providing parents, people with autism, and professionals with information that will help overcome obstacles to having medical needs addressed.*Advocating for and supporting research into the development and evaluation of a variety approaches to treating core and comorbid symptoms of autism.We envision a world in which disabling symptoms of autism are fully preventable and treatable on an individual basis.We provide free informational handout materials to medical and other professionals - download from thinkingautism.org.uk or email us to request printed copies for distribution mail@thinkingautism.org.uk
