Our final dream is to develop a biosensor that is easy to use, affordable, works well and has the potential to help a lot of people. The biosensor will detect influenza A virus within 5 minutes. Influenza is seen by experts to be a possibility for the next global pandemic. As the current pandemic taught us, early detection of a virus is important to prevent the virus from spreading. Student team T.E.S.T. consists of 9 bachelor and master students from the Eindhoven University of Technology (faculties: Medical Sciences & Technology, Biomedical Engineering). We started this project to learn more about developing a real-life product and to use the knowledge acquired during our studies in a practical way.We will present our biosensor at the SensUs 2021 competition on the 3rd of September 2021, together with other student teams from all over the world working on the same goal.
