UF-GAU is the official labor union that represents all Graduate Assistants at the University of Florida. Founded in 1972, GAU has been fighting to improve working conditions for GAs for over a generation. GAU negotiates a Collective Bargaining Agreement (contract) with the University of Florida that guarantees our stipends, access to health care, personal leave days, due process, intellectual property rights, and more. GAU is YOUR union and YOUR voice. In the midst of a political climate that has been hostile to the cause of public education, GAU gives you a way to fight for your rights.
