UJAMAA INITIATIVEOUR PHILOSOPHYThe philosophy of Ujamaa Initiative rests on the African concept Ujamaa which translates to mean love, unity, familyhood, brotherhood and togetherness. The Ujamaa enjoins us to live in love and show deep concern for our fellow human beings.The Ujamaa aims at developing in every individual an attitude of the mind to care for one another as extended family members not giving bias to religion, race, colour or tribe. The creed of the Ujamaa therefore reads in Kiswahili "Bina Damu wote Ni Ndugu Zangu Na Afrikani Moja" which translates to mean "I believe in human brotherhood and the Unity of Africa". The Ujamaa must thus go beyond religion, tribe, nation, continent, race and indeed embrace the totality of humanity.Associated with the Ujamaa are certain concepts that are germane for the development of human society. They include; education,equality, self-reliance, leadership, unity, work and at the heart of all these is the concept of "LOVE".OUR VISIONTo build a society where people will posses an attitude of the mind to show deep love, care and concern for one another as extended family members. A world where such attitude of the mind will drive positive action, positive change and fruitful bearings in all human endeavours.OUR MISSIONTo create an avenue whereby people come together as one to share ideas, principles and values base on love and positive actions. To drive concrete actions that will affect human society.
