The long-term purpose of Uppsala Forum is to advance both interdisciplinary research and education as well as internationalisation among the participating departments, centres and faculties. Uppsala University has a longstanding tradition of conducting leading research in the fields of democracy, peace and justice. Uppsala Forum facilitates cooperation, coordination and mutual exchange between the departments, centres and faculties conducting research within these fields of study. At Uppsala Forum we conduct both seminars, workshops and lectures and host an attractive visiting fellow programme, this in order to facilitate cooperation and mutual exhange. The following units are part of Uppsala Forum: the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, the Faculty of Law, the Department of Government, the Swedish Institute for North American Studies (SINAS), the Hugo Valentin Centre and Uppsala Centre for Russian and Eurasian Studies (UCRS).
