Where the Talloria stream flows, dividing Diano d'Alba, Serralunga d'Alba, Montelupo Albese and Sinio, extends the farm VEGLIO MICHELINO & FIGLIO.In the early 1900's Carlo (Osvaldo's grandfather), along with his dad Michele leads the company. In 1935 Michelino (Carlo's son) was born, and at the age of 10 decide to left the school to work with his dad and with his desire to work (which still have , despite his 80 years) has managed a strong expansion of the company, mainly characterized by the new vineyards that will come up beside the Dolcetto grape variety: Barbera and Nebbiolo wherewith the Barolo is produced.At the beginning of the 90's, after finishing the wine-oenological studies, the current owner Osvaldo, begins working in the company with his father Michelino and his mother Giuseppina.The Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo vineyards, have been gradually flanked by the Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Moscato vineyards , creating a mix of experience (Michelino) and innovation (Osvaldo) that leads to produce 18 wines even better and closer to the needs of the consumer.In 2007 Marco ,Osvaldo's brother-in-law, comes along, and they start to explore new markets, later consolidated with an hard work of international relationships.In July 2014, Simone Veglio , after finishing his studies at the Alba's oenological school, began working with his father and grandfather in the cellar and vineyards.Simone represents the fifth generation of the company Veglio Michelino & Figlio.The new cellar has been inaugurated in September 2015 : it's composed by the aging department, made up of Slavonian oak barrels of 50 hl (as in the Piedmont tradition) and the big tasting room.
