Verde Renewable Energy, LLC is being formed to develop state-of-the-art power plants that utilize the anaerobic digestion of plant material, which can be combined with cow manure, and chicken and food waste to produce biomethane (not to be confused with bioethanol or a grain derived biofuel), which in turn powers a continuous duty electric generator. An added benefit of this strategy is that the by-product or "digestate" can be sold as an organic fertilizer, thus providing two sources of revenue. These facilities will grow and harvest a very resilient hybrid sorghum and deploy second generation, carbon neutral, biomethane gas production concepts for power generation. The controlled bio-digestion of the sorghum results in the creation of biomethane gas, which is then burned in an internal combustion engine generating bankable renewable energy.
