the Victoria Poetry Project is a non-profit society that is dedicated to providing access to spoken word poetry on Lekwungen territory (now known as Victoria, BC)we are the home of:- Tongues of Fire (open mic + a featured poet, September - May)- Vic Slam (competitive poetry slam to be on the Victoria Slam Team + a featured poet, September - April)- Raising Voices (middle/high school poetry workshops, September - June)- Victorious Voices (high school slam poetry festival, spring break in April)- writing and performance workshops (as they happen)please contact us at vppdirector@gmail.com for show/workshop/newsletter inquiries
