Wassla is an NGO that aims to create a safe and inclusive space for expression, sharing and mutual aid for/with LGBTQI+ community and allies from countries in the Arab world (MENA), while remaining open to any nationality or origin.- Wassla's goal is to create a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQI+ Arabs, Middle Easterns, and/or North Africans based in France and allies. We welcome all ethnicities, races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and social classes in our community. Our mission is to emphasize the sense of community. We are here to create a platform that empowers the members of the community, help them through their journey, connect them to one another and create a sense of belongingness whether you are an immigrant, refugee, asylum seeker, or kid of the diaspora. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! -OUR VALUES:1. We are here to stand by each other, help one another and create a sense of belongingness. We will strive to build a bridge between different LGBTQI+ groups in France to bring them closer and empower them throughout creating communities and networks of support for LGBTQI+. 2. We welcome all ethnicities, races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and social classes within our community, including but not limited to, the Arab, Middle Eastern and/or North African. 3. We respect all religious and non religious backgrounds. 4. We believe in our rich and diverse cultural backgrounds which needs to be celebrated throughout cultural events and artistic projects. 5. We support collective and individual struggle against discrimination and other forms of oppression; therefore, we strive to create safe spaces and empower our members by fostering an inclusive and hate-free environment. 6. We encourage diversity, celebrate differences, and promote integrity and dignity.
