WANA provides support, advocacy, and resources to people seeking safety from oppression and/or bigotry; facing the consequences of poverty and economic insecurity, including food insecurity and housing insecurity.WANA's RDJ Refugee Shelter provides stable housing and supportive services for up to 8 asylum-seekers at a time. The Shelter was founded in 2011 as a drop-in shelter for homeless community members and has since expanded into the only shelter in NYC tailored specifically for asylum seekers.WANA's food programs are available to anyone in need and are located at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Harlem at 521 West 126th Street and taking place on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.https://linktr.ee/wanacommunitycenter
