We are a private, co-educational primary and ECCE compliant pre-school with small class sizes, located in Wicklow Town near the M11. The school was established in 1978 and caters for both pre-school and primary school children.Our school is a little different to most primary schools as we have created a teaching programme based on the Montessori method of education combined with the state curriculum right through to sixth class.Montessori education provides the child with an environment ideally suited to the various stages of the pupils development. Specialised Montessori equipment promotes hands on self-paced learning. Small classes allow teachers to really get to know each of their pupils intimately and work with them both individually and in small groups.Our pupils are very privileged to have specialised subject teachers for French, Science, Computers, Drama, Music and Sports. Our computer room and iPads allow our children access to technology from an early age.WMPS pupils leave sixth class fully prepared for secondary education as caring, confident, independent, resilient, well rounded individuals with a real love for learning.
