Worcester 78's Basketball Details
Worcester 78s is the official ABA Basketball team of Central Massachusetts and the only professional basketball team within the Worcester sports landscape. The team launched its first season in November 2017 competing in the Northeast Division of the 100+ team American Basketball Association and finished the regular season 13-4. That record put the 78s 2nd in the division and ranked 10th overall across the entire Association along with a division playoff appearance in its first year.This season the 78s have expanded its capacity by a factor of five! Ten home games will be hosted at Worcester State University on the John P. Brissette Competition Court inside the University's wellness center. Opened just two years ago at a cost of $52 million, the 78s will host with one of the most modern facilities in the region.
