The World Safety Organization Canada National Office (WSO Canada) was formed by a group of safety professionals and practitioners who had a common goal of advocating safety and pursuing excellence in the safety profession in Canada. In line with our parent organization, WSO Canada supports the following objectives:• Encourage the effective exchange of information and experiences between members of the WSO;• Collaborate with local, provincial, national and international organizations in areas of mutual concern;• Promote the continuous advancement of safety and accident prevention technology;• Strive for a universal level of professionalism and competence among our members, as professionals and practitioners of Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety, Loss Prevention, Accident Prevention and other related fields.• Support activities of local, provincial and national professional organizations in their endeavors to protect people, property, resources, and the environment.WSO Canada started as a WSO British Columbia Chapter and recently transitioned into Canada National Office. WSO British Columbia Chapter was granted chapter charter on July 2016 and established as a National Office September 2019.
