As part of WVU and WVU Research Corporation's land-grant institution mission, the Health Sciences Innovation Center was created to foster WVU intellectual property, WVU faculty and student initiated startup companies, and technology ventures in 2015.The Innovation Center strives to propel WVU's research into licensed products and services for public benefit through the management of the University's intellectual property portfolio. Designed to encourage innovation at WVU, we serve as a point of contact for industry partnerships and licensing. Our ultimate goal is to create successful new companies to connect to local economic development agencies and trade associations and to promote economic opportunity in greater West Virginia through the development and commercialization of WVU developed intellectual property.Located within the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, the HS Innovation Center on the WVU Health Sciences campus has state of the art office and lab space for business incubation and a supportive community for fostering innovation.
