We are an organisation dedicated to improving the life of elderly citizens currently housed in Aged Care Facilities. A number of these people do not receive many (if any) visitors, which results in isolation, feelings of depression and worthlessness. As many of them are also not capable of leaving the care facility, they are often left without the basics, such as new underwear, singlets, deodorant, combs, and even the simple pleasures such as chocolates and biscuits. This can only serve to compound their negative feelings of self worth. We aim to make a small change by not only providing the basics to these people, but also to spend quality time with them and nurturing their mental health.
