YMCA Cornwall is a Christian charity committed to helping young people, particularly at times of need, regardless of faith. We offer supported housing for young people aged 16 – 25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We provide a safe, stable environment for residents along with guidance from a team of dedicated support workers. Together these elements provide a secure foundation from which young people can move towards independent living, remain in education and find employment. We provide free, confidential and independent housing advice to young people who find themselves homeless, sofa-surfing, rough sleeping, or need to leave home.As an independent charity we rely on donations and grants to fund much of our work.In Penzance we have a coffee shop and room hire which are a social enterprise; profits are reinvested to help young people. We have a nursery in Mullion that provides professional early years education for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, rated "Good" by Ofsted.YMCA Cornwall is an independent charity and is part of an International Christian Movement which recognises the equal value of all people. It seeks to serve the community in Cornwall with an emphasis on the young, by providing them with a stimulating and supportive environment, enabling them to enrich their lives and the lives of others.
