A Thousand Words is an organization that holds events, activities, and trips, to promote Mental Health Awareness. These events encourage Students and Youths to gather and discuss personal issues, global issues, thoughts and concerns in a safe space. The Students and Youths educate one another through a form of "storytelling", based on their personal experiences, and what they find comfort in sharing. They will continue to harmonize and nurture one another, by keeping the best interests for everyone in mind. This allows them to know that they are not alone, and connect with others who are going through; or are experiencing, similar situations in a safe space. We create opportunities and encourage Students and Youths to bond through creative and artistic activities, while focusing on painting, as well as other forms of art, to relieve stress and express their hidden talent(s). A Thousand Words' mission, is to promote Mental Health Awareness, reach out to Students and Youths, practice healthy coping methods, relieve stress, and bring the community together through an artistic and creative lens.
