Young Global Entrepreneurs (YGE) is a non-profit organisation based in Johannesburg, South Africa. YGE aims to empower the youth, women and their communities through programmes and projects geared to enhancing their education, health, psychological, nutrition and emotional development. By equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed, provided through an educational model designed to enhance their entrepreneurial thinking and ability for job creation. This in turn would assist in improving their socioeconomic status and well-being in South Africa. YGE's long term aim is to elevate the youth to to the point that they become ambassadors of their respective communities. They can help rehabilitate their communities with the knowledge and skills obtained from YGE's sustainable programmes and projects. With a good education in hand, the youth and women will be able to progress into tertiary education and entrepreneurship. The would be able to specialise in profitable trades, be it formal and/ or informal sectors. The sustainable programmes and projects will in the end benefit them and they will be able to contribute to their own and their families financial independence. And with the knowledge that they can achieve their dreams, they will begin to improve their socioeconomic status within their communities, and the country.The end goal for Young Global Entrepreneurs is to see women, youth and their communities empowered and their lives enhanced through improved education, health and nutrition.
