Farming - Antananarivo, Antananarivo Province, Madagascar
We run a small specialty organic Arabica coffee production farm in Ampefy region in Madagascar. Applying extremely careful and diligent process, we perfect the quality of the harvest every day. Situated within the Bean Belt, Madagascar island gets approximately 59 inches of rainfall per year and offers perfect temperatures for growing and roasting coffee all year round. We produce pure organic, non-synthetic and not genetically-modified Arabica. We use only natural and highly nourishing fertilizer produced by Zebu Malagache - a type of cow only found in this part of the world. Zebu Coffee production process also involves a regeneration project of a local village. Previously out of jobs, without water or electricity supply, the village of 200 people has become a significant part of the Zebu Coffee family. The residents of the village now receive a regular food supply and income from working at the farm and they will soon benefit from an improved local roads infrastructure and, most importantly, a clean water supply.
