Founded in 2005, the Zero Waste Academy has been the first organization specifically to work on the zero waste initiatives in Japan, based in Kamikatsu - which is also the first municipality in Japan declared for its zero waste ambition in 2003 to be zero waste by 2020.The Zero Waste Academy serves for:- Kamikatsu's local waste collection facility management & other waste collection system, organize a re-use "Kuru-Kuru" shop, and upcycling "Kuru-Kuru" craft center;- Zero Waste policy development & implementation together with local communities and municipalities;- Zero Waste lectures, sessions, training delivery for communities, schools, companies and organizations;- Zero Waste Accreditation system management for businesses to implement zero waste practices for their services and products;...and more!
