Amrita School of Pharmacy, an integral component of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is the first to start functioning among the schools under Health Sciences campus. This optimal location provides a calm and quiet atmosphere conducive for learning.Once the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) recognised and announced the launch of the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) programme in 2008 all over India, Amrita School of Pharmacy, taking full advantage of its in-house hospital and the associated healthcare services, started offering the six - years Pharm. D. (Regular) and three years Pharm. D. (Post Baccalaureate) programmes from 2010.The two programmes were the first of their kind in the state of Kerala and the School's enrolment expanded significantly due to this landmark achievement.The gradual yet steady thrust in research has culminated in the registration of candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.
