MDS UK is an advocacy and support group for those affected by Myelodysplastic Syndromes.We offer patient meetings with specialist speakers, distribute information, offer support, raise awareness of MDS with health professionals, politicians, health authorities.We lobby for access to treatment and take part in HTA's.Our committee members are either patients themselves - or relatives of patients.Current Chair: Edward PeelDeputy Chair: Russell CookCEO: Sophie WintrichImmediate past chair: Prof Rodney TaylorWe work with the UK MDS Forum, the UK specialists research group.We are a founding member of the MDS Alliance, the international umbrella group for all national MDS patient support groups.
