Platypus sells a water analytics service, Aquatical Analytics™, that utilizes cooperative robotic boats to acquire data about inland bodies of water. During our work with a diverse set of customers, in multiple countries, we've analyzed water in a variety of settings:Retention pondsDrilling pad environmentsRecreation and fishing areasAgriculture - fish farms, pig farmsHousing estates built around lakes… In rivers, lakes and pondsOver the next 3 years, Platypus will collect and analyze nearly 800,000 acres of inland waterways - and that's called a great start! But it's just a start.Platypus was spun out of Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute in 2012.
