Noront is a Canadian mining company leading development in the emerging multi-metals Ring of Fire region, which is located 500 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay. We are doing this in true partnership with First Nations, contractors, suppliers and local communities in Northern Ontario. Our acquisitions of Cliffs Natural Resources' world-class chromite properties and MacDonald Mines gave us ownership or controlling interest in all the major discoveries in the region. Our first project is Eagle's Nest, a 100%-owned, nickel, copper and platinum group element (PGE) deposit. It is the largest high-grade nickel discovery in Canada since Voisey's Bay and the most advanced project in the Ring of Fire.
