Bath Women's Fund is a new approach to philanthropy in Bath and the surrounding area, which launched at St John's Foundation in October 2018.Women who live or work in and around Bath are invited to join this new giving circle and collaborate with others interested in collective giving.Giving Circles operate around the world. They work by pooling member's resources and giving to good causes. Using this approach for the Bath Women's Fund will mean that members will:• connect more directly with local charities;• learn about local issues;• share the joy of giving; and• get involved more deeply in philanthropy and how funds are allocated to achieve the greatest impact.Giving Circles are also about having fun and bringing together a like-minded group of socially-aware professional women.Bath Women's Fund is run by a small group of volunteer co-founders who work in the charitable and philanthropic sector. We decided to set up Bath Women's Fund because, as the hundreds of women's giving circles around the world demonstrate, this is an initiative that works particularly well for women who want to come together and get involved in something a bit different.
