Pa'lante is an e-commerce spirits startup founded by a father-son Cuban immigrant duo. The man who inspires our rum is José Martí — the revolutionary icon who helped Cuba gain independence from Spain. Martí was a creative who thrived as an exile in New York City, working as an activist, diplomat, and journalist. Of the Statue of Liberty, he wrote, "Here you are like a poet's dream, great as the space between heaven and earth." The dream of freedom was precisely what our founders were following when they left our beloved island to hustle for a brighter future.Pa'lante is our family's reclaiming of the rum-making trade, which our co-founder began as an engineer at Havana Club in the '80s. We've partnered with a family-owned distillery in Mexico to source premium rum from former colleague, Master Blender Jorge Pérez. We are dedicated to disrupting the alcohol industry with a proudly Latinx brand, amplifying Latinx voices in the U.S. and empowering our community. We hope our meticulously curated spirits inspire you to DREAM like Martí and HUSTLE like an immigrant.
