The shorter, darker, and colder days of winter—not to mention the increasing allure of smart phones, iPads, and Facebook—make it all too easy for Maine kids and families to "hibernate" and complacently view inactivity as an acceptable option.At WinterKids, we make it our business to provide families, schools, and communities with the *right* option: to get outside, get active, and have FUN! Our statewide programs & events offer special opportunities for all kids—regardless of background or socioeconomic status—to be active and healthy during the winter.
