Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit, faith-based organization which serves more than 28,000 Pennsylvanians each year. It operates 27 programs in the Commonwealth, serving veterans and their families; persons coping with disabilities or severe and chronic mental illness; at-risk youth and children dealing with behavioral challenges and educational deficits; people in emergency situations; elderly individuals and couples on fixed incomes; families with limited incomes; and pregnant teens and teenage mothers, among others in need.
