At this time we retained a well known market research firm to assess these teams and ascertain how an agency could add value, above and beyond the capabilities of other agencies in Asia.Beyond the normal frustrations of using an outside vendor, the main themes of dissatisfaction were; agencies presenting unoriginal candidates from the same talent pool; immense pressure from line to deliver candidates for diverse roles within a tight time frame. Strong push-back from management on using external recruiters because of the extra cost; reluctance to lose control of the initial talent acquisition process, due to concerns around brand consistency.
