Through the 2016 pageant, Delta Zeta donated $69,000 for their local and national philanthropies. Locally Delta Zeta supports The Emerge Center, St. Lillian Academy, Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area, and Baton Rouge Children's Advocacy Center. On a national level Delta Zeta supports the Painted Turtle Camp and the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The Miss LSU-USA Pageant is designed to be a positive experience for all participants. We desire to help contestants sharpen their skills in health, fitness, beauty, poise and personal interview. Many contestants say they enjoy the entire pageant experience no matter the outcome of the results.Miss LSU-USA is judged based on the USA pageant system; meaning each competition is worth the same amount and there is no talent competition. Contestants will be judged in four equal categories – Personal Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and an On-Stage Question. We select judges throughout the Southern region of Louisiana. Judges can include celebrities, business professionals, and distinguished LSU alumni! There will be a total of five judges. In addition to crowning our Miss LSU- USA, we award winners for the categories of Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, My Miss LSU (audience/social media favorite), Swimwear, Evening Gown, and Interview.
