Guangzhou HKUST Fok Ying Tung Research Institute(hereinafter referred to as the "HKUST-FYTRI") is the most important innovative technology R&D and achievement transformation platform of HKUST for the mainland. It officially settled in Nansha District, Guangzhou, the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in January 2007. It Is the first Hong Kong-based scientific research institution in Guangzhou and the first batch of New R&D Institutions in Guangdong Province. Relying on HKUST's leading international scientific research and education advantages, with technological innovation as the core drive, HKUST-FYTRI is committed to applied technology R&D and achievement transformation under the in-depth cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, focusing on the technology R&D in the fields of internet of things, advanced manufacturing and automation, advanced materials, green building and environment.
