Guangzhou HKUST Fok Ying Tung Research Institute(hereinafter referred to as the "HKUST-FYTRI") is the most important innovative technology R&D and achievement transformation platform of HKUST for the mainland. It officially settled in Nansha District, Guangzhou, the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in January 2007. It Is the first Hong Kong-based scientific research institution in Guangzhou and the first batch of New R&D Institutions in Guangdong Province.
