Kachina is an asset manager and operating partner specializing in permanent crop farmland in the western U.S. We advise, originate, analyze, diligence, acquire, develop, and manage agricultural real estate in separate accounts on behalf of family office, corporate, and institutional owners. We are not agents or brokers, and are not compensated for transactions.Kachina is not a fund; rather our clients own land directly. We simply manage their farm properties on their behalf, and in a manner consistent with their goals and values, thus fully harnessing the financial benefits of direct ownership while reducing operational risk. We believe the highest farmland returns are generated from long-term ownership and direct operation of properties.In addition, there are any number of environmental and social levers direct ownership and operation of farms can influence. We believe three of the most important are preserving productive agricultural land, creating jobs and building equity in local farm communities, all of which are embedded in our practices. Organic certification is another, and through our personal and family holdings we are one of the largest organic orange growers in California.
