Arlington/Roe was founded in 1964 by Francis Roe, father of president and owner, James A. Roe, and is respected nationwide as a Managing General Agent and Excess & Surplus Lines Broker.Begun as a general agent for mobile home insurance, Arlington/Roe has expanded to include other specialties: Personal Lines, Commercial Property and Liability (Underwriting and Brokerage), Commercial Auto/Transportation, Aviation, Bonds, Professional Liability, Workers'​ Compensation and Healthcare & Human Services. For over 50 years Arlington/Roe has offered professional expertise, access to specialty and E & S markets, and provided our agency and company partners with stability in changing markets. Our staff of 180+ individuals brings their combined experience using triage and constant communication to underwrite and market complex insurance transactions. Jim Roe's oldest son, Andy, is executive vice president and manager of the Brokerage Division; Patrick, Jim's second oldest son, is also a vice president and is director of marketing, primarily responsible for business development. Jim's daughter, Katie Roe Weiper, is in administration; and his wife, Vickie, is in personal lines customer service.
