The town of Green Mountain Falls is just 11 miles west of Colorado Springs on Hwy 24 West. At an altitude of 7,800 feet, the town is set in a picturesque mountain valley surrounded on three sides by Pike National Forest. The El Paso County/Teller County line goes North – South through Green Mountain Falls. Natural beauties in the area include creeks, waterfalls, a lake - on which Gazebo Island is a focal point of interest and history, rugged cliffs, wildflowers, abundant wildlife and an extensive trail system. Green Mountain Falls is a quiet and peaceful mountain town with a year-round population of approximately 870. The number of people in Town increases in the summer as people from other places arrive to use their family cabins or enjoy a stay at a local Short Term Rental property. Our summer residents perpetuate a sense of tradition, and share our love of our community and its mountain living experience.
