It was a hot and humid 2006 summer. I can still vividly remember the hum and hiss of the AC unit in the room where I got accepted for a temp job with Accenture. I was referred by an Accenture internal employee. So imagine my frustration when I learned that I had to pay off an Agency just to get onboarded. With this experience and working with contingent programs, enterprise, and procurement managers, it was obvious that the industry was missing out on a huge opportunity to optimize. In order to take efficiency to the next level, the industry needed a truly innovative solution, made by people who understood the real nitty-gritty of the process.And thus, WillHire.com was born.Through the acquisition of Jobhuk, we joined forces with Andy Gaur, the CEO/Founder of Compunnel, who also had just launched iEndorseU a mobile first talent referral platform. Our vision? To create no B.S. Talent Management Platform that can only be achieved with the acquisition techniques borrowed from the modern-day + temp labor model. This is where the terminology of direct and self-sourcing took shape internally and after several experiments and iterations, a successful pilot lead to one success after the other.
