NORTH YORK SENIORS CENTRE provides programs and services to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of adults aged 55+ living in our diverse community.ACTIVE LIVING CENTRE: A place for fitness, creativity, and communityThe ALC offers a variety of activities, programs, and services to help members get active, live well, and stay socially connected.A DAY AWAY CLUB: For the mind, body, and spiritThe club provides older adults living with physical frailties or cognitive challenges, an opportunity to socialize, be active, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Activities build on clients' abilities and are led by a team of qualified professionals.SENIOR CARE: Making life easier at home and in the communityThe team helps older adults access programs to facilitate independent living in the community. Services include:Information and referrals; Caregiver support groups; andTelephone reassurance calls.The goal is to provide peace of mind to our clients and their caregivers.The friendly and professional team of personal support workers (PSW) helps clients live safely and independently by providing assistance with daily living activities in-home or hospital.The fleet of comfortable vans and friendly drivers provide safe transportation to medical and other appointments, shopping, and social programming within our service area.
