From the team behind FIG Restaurant, James Beard Award Winning Chef Mike Lata and Adam Nemirow opened The Ordinary in December 2012. A Southern seafood hall & oyster bar located in an old bank in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. Our menu celebrates the "merroir" of the Coastal Carolinas and the East Coast, and we strive to support local and regional fishermen, crabbers, oystermen, farmers and producers.Our approach is recognizable: we aim to pair great food with great drink and friendly, detailed service. At The Ordinary, we do so against the backdrop of an historical Charleston building that has been preserved and transformed into a high energy, bustling American brasserie.
