The Lighthouse is named after one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, a figure that remained one of the tallest man-made structures for many centuries. The name is also a nod to the modernist author Virginia Woolf and members of the Bloomsbury Set who gathered for conversation and companionship, and, while doing so, shared many meals together.
