Mammoth Creameries was born out of the spirit of providing real, natural nourishment to people who love delicious food with simple ingredients. Our story began with two kids born a world apart. Tim was born in Cologne, Germany and moved to the U.S. at age 14. Sue, on the other hand, is a born and bred Texas gal. Luckily, as fate would have it, their paths merged during a rare Austin, Texas snow day while in college. Together, they form the backbone of Mammoth Creameries, an enterprise stemmed from the day that Tim woke up in a hospital bed at age 28 to learn he had undiagnosed type 1 diabetes. This diagnosis changed everything, and both Tim & Sue knew they had to make a change for themselves and their family. They traded carb-heavy meals and sugary snacks for a more health-conscious life centered around exercise and eating well, adhering to the paleo diet before making the shift to a low-sugar, low-carb, and high-fat ketogenic diet. Sue quickly became the household's go-to keto chef, exploring recipes and dishes of all kinds. However, there was one thing she couldn't find for their new lifestyle: ice cream. So Sue made one of her own — enter Mammoth! Mammoth's mission is simple: ice cream for all. We believe our ice cream is the gateway to dietary independence that diabetic and ketogenic individuals are hard-pressed to find in today's world. We source only the best natural ingredients, using grass-fed butter and high-quality heavy cream to create an ice cream that is both delicious and nutritious.
