A Wake in the Current is an adventure initiative started by Bowman Hitchens, Max Zoghbi, and Rob Treppendahl. We kayaked all 2,300 miles of the entire Mississippi River during the summer months of 2011 in exactly 61 days to raise awareness and $100k for children at risk. By committing ourselves to a life of simplicity, endurance and humility we've raised & donated $47,000 thus far to The Gardere Community Christian School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and ICM in Oxford, Mississippi.Be on the lookout for our documentary series and book due to be released before 2021. Funds from both go to the ministries as well!
