Women of reproductive age group (15-49yrs) especially those in under-served communities, face numerous challenges regarding their Sexual and Reproductive health. This can be attributed to a number of factors including but not limited to;•Ignorance and lack of/reduced awareness about their reproductive and sexual health & rights,•Lack of/minimal awareness about contraceptives and problems related to contraceptive use, including; poor accessibility to contraceptives, cultural factors, religious beliefs, oppositions to use by their partners or family members and fear of health risks/side effects of contraceptives. In light of this, Act4Her Initiative seeks to promote women's reproductive health in underserved communities by;-Increasing awareness on the use of suitable contraceptive methods to prevent unwanted and high-risk pregnancies, the need to plan families (pregnancy spacing and limiting family size), in order to prevent or reduce maternal mortality to the barest minimum. -Also, to create awareness on the dangers of teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortion, harmful traditional practices and the prevention of STDs.- Advancing gender equality and advocating against sexual and gender-based violence. At Act4Her, we believe that every woman should be enlightened and empowered enough with the right tools to make informed decisions about her reproductive and sexual health.
