Beit Hillel – "Attentive Spiritual Leadership" – established in 2012, is an organization comprised of over 140 religious leaders (men and women) from among the Religious Zionist community in Israel. The organization and its initiatives emerged from a need to reassert a moderate religious leadership, which is attentive and accepting. Beit Hillel addresses both the Religious - Zionist and Traditional communities in Israel, as well as the general Jewish public in Israel and world-wide. These communities seek to hear the deliberate and tolerant voice of Torah, be it in their daily lives, in the media or in the larger public square. Such a voice, rooted deeply in the traditions of our people, of "its ways are ways of pleasantness and peace," brings insight and relevance to contemporary Israeli society and Jewish communities form around the world.
