Almost five years down in the SDG Agenda, many countries are facing several challenges, militating against adequate monitoring and implementation of the SDG. Subjective assessment of SDGs experts on the main challenges for monitoring and implementing the SDGs indicates that these challenges differ from one country to the other, but the most commonly cited and most important challenges are on lack of funding or financial resources and lack of quality data or unavailability of data. In light of the above, the following are the Objectives of CAFSED which are:1:To innovatively create an engaging platform that will leverage on the SDGs to allow Africans to contribute actively towards the social, economic, educational, technological, environmental and political development of Africa.2: To mobilize for high-quality and reliable data from connected sources, by devising a cross-cutting tool with reliable research and access to actual data so as to measure the overall performance of the African state governments towards domestication and achieving the SDGs. 3: To initiate fundraising strategy of substantial targeted amount through resource mobilization on an enabled technological platform, special events and management board authorized mechanism for SDGs focused projects and program in selected or indicated regions of African states so as to contribute to closing of the obvious financial gap by 20% out of the 50% gap by 2030, influence and bring about accelerated implementation of the SDGs in Africa. 4: To initiate, design and host a TV/Radio program that will serve as a communication tool for creating awareness and bringing the global goals close to the grassroots. The program is to be structured in a way to engage its audience (viewers/listeners) in the understanding of their roles in achieving "the world we want to have" and taking practical steps daily in an effort to actualize the SDGs for grass root impact.READ MORE ON http://cafsed.org
