Communicating for Change (CFC) is a dynamic, award-winning communications organization raising Africans awareness of environment and development issues to create positive change to develop the continent and ultimately improve livelihoods. What do we do? We: • Produce, distribute and screen films on social issues • Distribute audiovisual programs through radio, television, print, market research, capacity building and special events to help change behavior and attitudes about vital social issues • Work in partnership with major local and international broadcasters to produce & distribute films on social issues • Train stakeholders in communication and film production • Focus on radio, TV, print, media research, theatre, capacity building, special event campaigns and electronic communication via the internet to relay messages • Produce journalistic reports, photo essays, brouchers, newsletters, film guides, photography and other information, education and communications (IEC) materials for diverse target audiences Organizational Information • A cutting-edge non-governmental, non-profit development communications organization • Grantee of the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, the Norwegian Human Rights Fund, USAID, Television Trust for the Environment (TVE), DFID and others • Established in July 1998 in Lagos, Nigeria • Funded through grants, donations, and income generated from fee-based services • Project work across Nigeria and materials produced in English, French, Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo, Ijaw, and Pidgin English • Programs aired across Nigeria and in 40 countries • Winner of numerous local and international film awards
